Background
How did this project start?
Find Digital Ohio was established through ILEAD Ohio, which is made possible by the State Library of Ohio and OhioNet, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Why did this project focus on creating a marketing toolkit and templates?
Cultural heritage organizations do a great job of collecting, preserving and providing access to their collections but do not always have the resources to promote this work to our communities--the very people for whom they do this work! In addition, professional marketing services may be limited or non-existent. With staff and volunteers wearing many hats, our goal was to reduce barriers for creating high quality promotional products and make this work achievable to those that may not currently do any sort of similar promotion.
Using the Toolkit
Do I need to have marketing or design experience to use these templates?
Not at all! Find Digital Ohio's promotional templates are designed to be easy to use no matter your level of expertise. Anyone at any institution (library, museum, historical society, university, etc.) can tailor them easily and quickly using Adobe or Canva.
Is there a way to share how my institution has used these templates?
